MANGALOREAN BEEF SUKKA

This Beef Sukka is a traditional Mangalorean Catholic style recipe. The recipe is adapted from the Chicken and Mutton Sukka preparations that are native to the coastal regions of Mangalore, Udupi and Kundapur. It is a semi-dry dish made with ground roasted spices and freshly grated coconut. Alfredo sauce

 


INGREDIENTS

125 gms Processed Cheese

3 tbs Butter

1tbs Maida

1/2 tsp Mixed Herbs

1tsp Garlic Powder

250 ml Milk

50ml Cream

Salt to Taste

METHOD

  • Heat butter in a saucepan and add the maida and mix for a minute or two.
  • Slowly incorporate the milk while whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
  • Add in the grated cheese, garlic powder, mixed herbs, cream and salt to taste.
  • Continue to whisk and bring to a boil.
  • If the sauce gets too thick, add more milk to dilute.
