The ultimate pizza and garlic bread dough

After trying quite a few Pizza Dough recipes i would say I have have found the perfect one. This is so simple to make. You can use the same Dough to make Pizzas or Garlic bread (I have shared the recipe links for pizza and garlic bread in the NOTES).
The secret here is using Fresh Yeast instead of Instant Yeast. The dough will definitely take longer to rise but I tell you it's worth the wait.

 INGREDIENTS:

500 gms maida

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp fresh yeast

1 tbs sugar

1 cup milk at room temperature (approximately 300ml or as required)

1/4 cup warm water

3-4 tbs olive oil or regular cooking oil

METHOD:

  • In a small  bowl dissolve sugar and yeast in the warm water and set aside.
  • In a larger bowl mix the maida and salt well.
  • Now add in the oil and yeast mixture and start to kneed the dough.
  • Add milk little at a time and continue to kneed till the dough comes together.
  • This should take about 5 minutes.
  • Continue to kneed till you get a smooth texture and the dough no longer sticks to your hand .
  • Shape the dough into a ball and rub some oil over it and place it back in the bowl.
  • Cover with a wet tea towel and place in a warm place to rise.
  • The dough will take a few hours to rise, depending on how warm or cold the weather is.
  • You'll know it's ready when it has doubled in size.
